Mason Street ramps at I-43 closing week of July 23

July 19, 2012

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing ramp closures for the I-43/Mason Street interchange project.

Monday, July 23:

  • The ramps to and from southbound I-43 are closed. The off-ramp will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and the on-ramp from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Tuesday, July 24:

  • The north and southbound I-43 ramps will close, but not at the same time, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. Times will vary based on contractor’s workload.

Wednesday, July 25:

  • The northbound I-43 on- and off-ramps are closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

These closures are part of the Mason Street interchange project repairing the concrete bases on the ramps and overlaying them with new asphalt. The off-ramps will also have left and right turn lanes added. Traffic signals will be upgraded to accommodate the new off-ramp lanes. Cost for the work is estimated at $1.5 million and will be completed in August.
