US 41 Project lane closures for July 30 to August 3

Traffic restrictions in Brown and Winnebago counties

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing US 41 Project lane restrictions for July 30 to August 3 in Brown and Winnebago counties. In Brown County, significant travel delays expected on I-43 at the Leo Frigo Bridge, as traffic is reduced to a single lane in both directions over a 3.5-mile segment of the highway through November 2012. Motorists need to be aware of 11-foot wide lanes and reduced speed limits in both counties. WisDOT urges all motorists to use caution while traveling through any work zone.

Winnebago County

WIS 26 to WIS 21
July 31:

• Northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 26 closed Tuesday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for beam guard installation.

August 2:

• Left lane of southbound US 41, between WIS 21 and WIS 44, closed Thursday, August 2 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for work on the median barrier wall.

WIS 21 to US 45
July 30 and 31:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Snell Road and WIS 21, closed Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for work on the Lake Butte des Morts Drive bridge.
• Various lanes of southbound US 41, between County Y and WIS 21, closed Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July 31 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement marking.

July 31:

• Southbound US 41 entrance and exit ramps at US 45 closed Tuesday, July 31 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement marking. US 45 traffic seeking to enter southbound US 41 will be detoured onto northbound US 41 to WIS 76 to US 41.

US 45 to Breezewood Lane
August 2:

• Northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76 closed Thursday, August 2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for work on the ramp.
• Various lanes of northbound US 41, between County Y and WIS 114, closed Thursday, August 2 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch at the northbound US 41 ramps at Breezewood Lane and to move barrier wall.

Brown County

Scheuring Road to Oneida Street
July 30 to August 2:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Scheuring Road and Hansen Road, closed Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow access to the median work zone.

August 1 and 2:

• Southbound US 41 off-ramp to Oneida Street closed Wednesday, August 1 and Thursday, August 2 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for ramp widening.

Mason Street
July 30 to August 2:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Lombardi Avenue and I-43, closed Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for structure work and traffic switch.

WIS 29
July 30 to August 3:

• Various lanes of westbound WIS 29, between Packerland Drive and County FF, closed Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2 from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, August 3 from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. In addition, various lanes on eastbound WIS 29 closed Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All closures are to allow access to the work zone.

All lane restrictions and work operations are subject to change.
