US2/WIS 13 roundabout opens

SUPERIOR -The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Northwest Regional Office in Superior announces that the US 2/ WIS 13 roundabout is now open to traffic. 

Both eastbound and westbound traffic on US 2 will be using the roundabout, while the existing pavement on the bypass lane is reconstructed. Eastbound traffic on US 2 will be routed through the roundabout for about three weeks, after which the eastbound US 2 bypass lane will be open.

Work on the $2.1 million project began on April 23, 2012, and is scheduled to be completed mid to late September of 2012.
