Public meeting scheduled for US 49 work in Fond du Lac County

Highway work taking place in 2015
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to approximately 7.4 of WIS 49 from just west of County MMM in Waupun to just north of East Clark Street in Brandon, Fond du Lac County. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brandon Village Hall, 115 North Center Street, Brandon. A short presentation is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format.
Project representatives will be available to discuss the proposed project and address any questions or concerns. Local officials, property owners and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.
The project, scheduled to begin in 2015 and lasting approximately four months, consists of resurfacing WIS 49, replacing cross culverts, modifying slopes to the roadway and replacing beam guard. WIS 49 will be closed to through traffic during part of the construction and a detour will be posted. Local access will be maintained during the entire project.
