Governor Walker approves $70,000 project at West Bend Municipal Airport
August 20, 2012
Governor Scott Walker today announced a $70,000 project to design a building to store snow removal equipment at the West Bend Municipal Airport.
Craig Butler, airport project manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the airport does not have enough indoor space to store its snow removal equipment. The new storage building will allow all equipment to be stored inside – prolonging its use.
The project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2013.
Funding Breakdown
- State = $3,075
- City of West Bend = $3,075
- Federal Aviation Administration = $63,850
West Bend Municipal Airport has two paved runways. The primary runway is 4,500 feet, while the secondary runway is 3,900 feet.
