Governor Walker approves WIS 156 improvements in Shawano County
August 23, 2012
As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently signed a $338,000 contract to improve the Black Creek bridge between Clintonville and Howard.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, September 10.
Radtke Contractors is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will remove and replace the existing structure over Black Creek on WIS 156 with a three-cell box culvert, and rebuild the roadway.
Construction is scheduled for completion by November, 2012.
During construction, the bridge will be closed and traffic will be detoured via WIS 55 and WIS 29.
Eighty percent of the project will be paid with federal transportation funds; the remaining 20 percent will be paid with state transportation funds.
