US 41 Project lane closures for August 27 to August 31

Traffic restrictions in Brown and Winnebago counties

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing US 41 Project lane restrictions for August 27 to August 31 in Brown and Winnebago counties. Drivers should be aware of 11-foot wide lanes and reduced speed limits in both counties. WisDOT urges all motorists to use caution while traveling through any work zone. 

I-43/Leo Frigo Bridge

Brown County

• I-43 at the Leo Frigo Bridge is reduced to a single lane of traffic with speeds reduced to 55 mph in both directions over a 3.5-mile segment of the highway through November 2012.

US 41

Winnebago County
9th Avenue – US 45
August 27 - 29:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between 9th Avenue and US 45, closed Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch and to move barrier wall.

US 45 – Breezewood Lane
August 20 - September 14:

• Single lane of the northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed continuously Monday, August 20 through Friday, September 14 for roadway work on WIS 76.

August 27 - 31:

• Various lanes of north and southbound WIS 76, between Indian Point Road and Green Valley Road, and left lane of the southbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work structure work.

Brown County
Scheuring Road – Oneida Street
August 28 and 29:

• Various lanes of northbound US 41, between Scheuring Road and Oneida Street, closed overnight Tuesday, August 28 and Wednesday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge painting.

Mason Street
August 27 - 29:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Lombardi Avenue and I-43, closed Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for structure work and a traffic switch.

August 28:

• Northbound US 41 on-ramp from Mason Street closed overnight Tuesday, August 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for barrier wall installation.

WIS 29
August 27 and 28:

• Various lanes of east and westbound WIS 29, between US 41 and County FF, closed overnight Monday, August 27 and Tuesday, August 28 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving and staging work.

August 27 - 29:

• Various lanes of westbound WIS 29, between Packerland Drive and County FF, closed Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29 from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow access to the work zone.

August 29:

• Northbound US 41 on-ramp from WIS 29 closed overnight Wednesday, August 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for barrier wall installation. WIS 29 traffic wanting to enter southbound US 41 will travel south on Packerland Drive to Mason Street, take Mason Street east to US 41.

Lakeview Drive bridge
August 27 - 29:

• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Memorial Drive and Lineville Road, closed  Monday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 29 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for demolition of the Lakeview Drive bridge over US 41.
