Governor Walker approves WIS 441 improvements in Fox Valley
September 5, 2012
WIS 441/County CE interchange will be improved
As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker approved a $132,000 contract to improve the northbound WIS 441 off-ramp to County CE in Outagamie County. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, September 10 and be completed in mid-October of this year.
The general contractor for the project is Vinton Construction, Manitowoc, WI.
The island separating the left and right lanes on the exit ramp will be extended, enabling a better flow of traffic through right turns and lessening the opportunity for rear-end type crashes.
The northbound exit right turn lane will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will continue to be able turn right from this location, but from a shared lane during construction. Other off-peak lane closures will also be necessary and will be announced.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during peak traffic times and to remain alert and use caution when driving through this or any work zone.
