WisDOT conducting WIS 153 public information meeting next week

Meeting to focus on proposed reconstruction of WIS 153 in the village of Elderon

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of WIS 153 in the village of Elderon.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 12, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Elderon Village Hall, 9187 State Road 153. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an informal open house format. Exhibits showing details of the proposed project will be available for review. WisDOT representatives will be available to answer questions.

The reconstruction of WIS 153 in Elderon is currently scheduled to begin in July 2013.

The project will begin 500 feet west of Maple Street and end 200 feet east of WIS 49. The project also includes safety improvements to the intersection of WIS 49 and WIS 153. Storm sewers, curb and gutter are included in reconstruction. Other improvements include parking lanes and sidewalk improvements for sections of the project.

Business and property owners are encouraged to attend and provide input.
