Public meeting scheduled for WIS 22/Shawano County BE intersection

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements for the WIS 22/Shawano County BE intersection, located in the town of Wescott and Shawano.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 19 at the Shawano City Hall, 127 S. Sawyer Street, Shawano, from 5 to 7 p.m. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. the remainder of the meeting will be an open house format.
The proposed project is intended to improve the safety of the intersection.
Work is currently scheduled to begin in late summer 2013 and is expected to be completed completion before the end of the year. During construction, at least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on WIS 22.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions. Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh least three working days prior to the meeting.
