US 41 Project lane closures for September 24 – September 29

Traffic restrictions in Brown and Winnebago counties

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing US 41 Project lane restrictions for September 24 – September 29 in Brown and Winnebago counties. Drivers should be aware of 11-foot wide lanes and reduced speed limits in both counties. WisDOT urges all motorists to use caution while traveling through any work zone.

US 41

Winnebago County
WIS 21 – US 45
September 27 and 28
:

  • Single lane of northbound US 41, between WIS 21 and US 45, closed overnight Thursday, September 27 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, September 28 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. for access to the work zone.

US 45 – Breezewood Lane
September 24 – 28
:

  • Single lane of the northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed continuously Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28 for roadway work on WIS 76.
  • Various lanes of north and southbound WIS 76, between Indian Point Road and Green Valley Road, and left lane of the southbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed Monday, September 24 through Friday, September 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for structure work.

September 25:

  • Complete closure of the northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, Tuesday, September 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for concrete paving on the ramp.

Brown County
Scheuring Road – Oneida Street
September 25 – 29
:

  • Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, beginning two miles south of Scheuring Road and continuing to Hansen Road, closed Tuesday, September 25 through Thursday, September 27 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday, September 28 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. and Saturday, September 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. for median work.

September 29:

  • Complete closure of the northbound US 41 off-ramp to Ashland Avenue, Saturday, September 29 from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch
  • Complete closure of the southbound US 41 on-ramp from Ashland Avenue, Saturday, September 29 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch

Lombardi Avenue – I-43
September 24 – 28
:

  • Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Lombardi Avenue and I-43, closed Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, September 28 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. for setting temporary barrier wall and bridge work.

WIS 29
September 24 – 28
:

  • Various lanes of east and westbound WIS 29, between County FF and Packerland Drive, closed Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, September 28 from 6 a.m. to noon for access into the work zone.

September 26 and 27:

  • Various lanes of east and westbound WIS 29, between County FF and US 41, closed Wednesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 27 from 6 pm. to 6 a.m. for miscellaneous work.

Lakeview Drive bridge
September 24 – 28
:

  • Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between I-43 and Lineville Road, closed  Monday, September 24 through Thursday, September 27 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, September 28 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. for demolition of the Lakeview Drive bridge over US 41.

I-43/Leo Frigo Bridge

Brown County:

  • I-43 at the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge is reduced to a single lane of traffic with speeds reduced to 55 mph in both directions over a 3.5-mile segment of the highway through November 2012. Expect significant travel delays.

All lane restrictions and work operations are subject to change.
