Calumet County roundabout rescheduled to 2014

September 26, 2012

WIS 32/57 and US 10 intersection located in Forest Junction being replaced

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing the roundabout to be built in 2013 at the intersection of WIS 32/57 and US 10 in Forest Junction, Calumet County will be built in 2014.

WisDOT is finishing up a project on US 10 in Brillion and did not want to close US 10 in the same general location two years in a row, due to its impact on businesses. Delaying the project will also allow the department to consider alternative construction staging alternatives that minimize impacts to traffic and businesses.

A single lane roundabout is planned and includes asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, storm sewer, curb and gutter, pavement marking, permanent signing, lighting, and landscaping. Roundabouts are built to improve safety and mobility.
