WisDOT schedules I-39, Grouse Drive public involvement meeting
October 12, 2012
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed bridge improvements along northbound I-39 between the Columbia/Marquette County line and County CX, in the town of Moundville, Marquette County.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 24, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Endeavor/Moundville Fire Department, 631 South Limits Road, Endeavor. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. WisDOT staff will be available to answer questions and discuss proposed traffic management plans.
The objectives of the meeting are to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements. Improvements include maintenance on the Grouse Drive bridge over I-39 and four bridges located on northbound I-39:
- Neenah Creek
- Marquette County O
- WIS 23
- County CX
Work is currently scheduled to occur in 2014. WisDOT is planning to keep I-39 open to at least one lane in each direction. The Grouse Drive improvements require that crews close the bridge during construction.
The Endeavor/Moundville Fire Department is wheelchair accessible. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and provide input. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh at least three working days prior to the meeting.
