I-535/Blatnik Bridge southbound lanes to reopen October 19 in Duluth

Three-day, single-lane closure scheduled next week
Duluth, Minnesota — The southbound/Superior-bound lanes on the Interstate 535/Blatnik Bridge, will reopen to traffic Friday, October 19.
Southbound motorists will be restricted to a single-lane from late-morning Monday, October 22, until late-afternoon Wednesday, October 24, while inspectors identify light fixture and conduit connection locations for the bridge’s new lighting system.
The Blatnik Bridge two-year rehabilitation project began in May 2012. The project includes maintenance work that will extend the usable life of the bridge.
The project is scheduled for completion in October 2013.
