WisDOT announces new 3-D animations of US 41 Project

October 24, 2012

Videos focus on US 41 in Brown County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing new three-dimensional (3-D) animated videos showing future improvements to the US 41 Corridor in Brown County. The new features replicate an aerial view from 3000 feet and are available online at the US 41 Project website.

These videos allow WisDOT to display the multifaceted project in an easy-to-understand way. New roadway alignments, improvements, roundabouts and system interchanges are clearly depicted in the three new videos: "US 41 Expansion in Brown County," "WIS 29 Interchange," and "I-43 Interchange."

By placing the planned transportation improvements within an existing setting, the 3-D animated videos provide a realistic visual experience that can be easily communicated at meetings, on television, websites, social media and mobile devices.

WisDOT wants drivers to conveniently access information during construction to help them deal with the project’s traffic impacts. The address of the Project website is www.us41wisconsin.gov.
