October 29, 2012
Meeting to focus on WIS 15 improvements from US 45 to Lily of the Valley Drive in Greenville
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to present WisDOT’s planned improvements to WIS 15 from US 45 to Lily of the Valley Drive in Outagamie County, including the proposed bypass of Hortonville. The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hortonville High School, 213 East Towne Drive, Hortonville, in the cafeteria. A brief presentation will be made at 5:10 p.m.
The meeting is being held in an open house format and the public is encouraged to attend at their convenience, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis and receive comments.
WisDOT completed a study in 2009 developing a range of potential WIS 15 improvements, including a bypass around Hortonville, to improve safety, reduce congestion, and minimize access to preserve the corridor for future transportation use. The project is now being designed with construction planned to begin in 2016.
For more information about the project, go to the WisDOT web site.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, can contact Bill Bertrand at (920) 492-5708.
