Meeting to focus on proposed improvements to the intersection

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Superior is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to the intersection of US 8 and WIS 46 in Polk County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13 at Amery City Hall, 118 Center Street. The meeting will follow an open house format with a brief project overview presentation at 5:30 p.m.

The proposed project includes reconstructing the intersection of US 8 and WIS 46 to a single lane modern roundabout to address safety problems and improve traffic flow.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT and Ourston Roundabout Engineering representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
