Permanent closure of Dousman Street under US 41 in Brown County

Traffic switching to Shawano Avenue November 3

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing that Dousman Street from Taylor Street to just west of US 41 in Brown County will permanently close to traffic by 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, Saturday, November 3. Traffic will be moved from Dousman Street and switched to Shawano Avenue under US 41.

The permanent closure of Dousman Street is part of a $97 million project to reconstruct the US 41/WIS 29 interchange. Construction on the interchange began in September and is scheduled to be complete by early October 2014.

Motorists are reminded to remain alert and use caution when traveling through this or any work zone.

All lane restrictions and work operations are subject to change.
