Public meeting for Dane County Highway DM bridge replacement

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to discuss replacement of the County Trunk Highway DM bridge over Interstate 39/90/94 in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14 at the town of Vienna Town Hall, 7161 County Highway I, DeForest, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The project includes complete removal of the existing bridge and replacement with a new structure. Intersection relocation of WIBU Road (north leg) is planned to improve intersection visibility. Road closure during construction is proposed for County DM and WIBU Road (north leg) with a detour route using County V and I. Acquisition of additional right-of-way is expected for the project.

The public is encouraged to attend the open-house meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. A formal presentation is not planned.
