Full closures on eastbound and westbound WIS 29 in Brown County

Expect overnight closures Monday through Thursday
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing full closures of east and westbound WIS 29 overnight, between the north and southbound ramps of US 41, throughout the week of November 12 to 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure is needed to accommodate work on the US 41 bridge crossing WIS 29. There will also be single lane closures on the bridge at various times during this work.
Detours for WIS 29 will be in place, but motorists are strongly encouraged to consider alternate routes. Details of detour routes are below:
- Eastbound WIS 29 traffic wanting to access northbound US 41 or continue on WIS 29 will exit eastbound WIS 29 to southbound US 41, take southbound US 41 to Mason Street, east on Mason Street to northbound US 41.
- Westbound WIS 29 traffic wanting to access southbound US 41 or continue on WIS 29 will exit westbound WIS 29 to northbound US 41, follow northbound US 41 to Velp Avenue, west on Velp Avenue to southbound US 41.
- There will also be single lane closures on US 41 crossing WIS 29.
The on- and off-ramps to WIS 29 from north and southbound US 41 will remain open during construction.
Please note: In addition, eastbound WIS 29, between County FF and Packerland Drive, will be closed overnight on Tuesday, November 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for setting bridge girders over Duck Creek. Traffic will be detoured south on County FF to Mason Street, east on Mason Street to northbound US 41, northbound US 41 to WIS 29.
All lane restrictions are weather-dependent and subject to change.
