Public meeting for WIS 19 in Dane County

December 5, 2012

Meeting to focus on 2013 construction work

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will hold a public information meeting to provide an update on the design of WIS 19 from US 51 to Portage Road in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19 in the gymnasium at Windsor Elementary School, 4352 Windsor Road, Windsor.

The project consists of the replacement of two bridges over Token Creek with spot pavement repairs between both structures. These bridges are located between the US 51 interchange and Portage Road. WIS 19 will be closed to traffic during construction to facilitate quicker completion. A single-lane bypass will be provided for access to the residents located between the bridges.

The project is scheduled to begin in early summer 2013. Completion is expected late summer 2013.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvements and detour route will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Mike Rampetsreiter at (608) 246-7917. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Mike Rampetsreiter, 2101 Wright Street, Madison, WI 53704. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Mike Rampetsreiter at least three working days prior to the meeting.
