US 51 lane closures scheduled in Marathon County next week

December 7, 2012

Motorists can expect to encounter speed reductions and possible delays during peak travel times

Two lanes of northbound US 51 between WIS 29 east and County N (Rib Mountain) will be closed on Wednesday, December 12. The closures are necessary for crews to repair traffic sensors in the roadway. During these closures, the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in the work zone. Motorists are reminded to slow down, drive with caution and be alert for slow moving vehicles.

Crews plan to close one lane of southbound US 51 between County NN and County N (Rib Mountain) on Thursday, December 13. During the closure, crews will repair the median cable barrier.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
