Traffic restrictions on County J bridge over I-94 in St. Croix County
January 10, 2013
Effective immediately the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and St. Croix County Highway Department are restricting travel on the County J bridge over I-94 to one lane, indefinitely.
Around 6 a.m. Thursday a truck travelling east on I-94 hit the outside girder of the bridge causing damage to the structure. The interstate was reduced to one lane this morning while crews cleared debris from the highway.
Motorists who travel on County J will be required to stop on each end of the bridge while it’s a single lane. WisDOT is currently exploring repair options.
Motorists are encouraged to dial 511 or visit Wisconsin 511 online for up-to-the-minute information on highway and travel conditions in Wisconsin.
