US 51 northbound lane closure, speed reduction scheduled in Rib Mountain next week

Crews are planning a daytime (9 to 11 a.m.), single lane closure on northbound US 51 between Marathon County N and Marathon County NN, in Marathon County, beginning Wednesday, January 23.

The lane closure is necessary for crews to repair a traffic sensor in the roadway. During the closure, the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in the work zone. Motorists are reminded to slow down, drive with caution and be alert for slow moving vehicles.

Work is scheduled for completion by noon on Thursday, January 24. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
