Public meeting scheduled for I-94 and County T interchange in St. Croix County

Meeting to focus on project need and alternatives

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Eau Claire is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the County T/I-94 interchange project. The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on February 6 at the St. Croix Central Middle School Small Gym, located at 1295 Vine Street, Hammond, Wisconsin. A presentation will be given at 6 p.m.

The project is located two miles south of the village of Hammond. The project consists of widening and flattening the slope of County T within a quarter mile of the interchange and will include replacement of the existing County T bridge over I- 94. Improvements to the interchange ramps, reconstruction of the ramp intersections with County T and the addition of a park and ride facility will also be part of the project. The project is currently scheduled for 2016 construction. New right of way will be necessary for the addition of the park and ride facility and roadway improvements.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. This meeting will only address this specific project. The meeting will have an open-house format, with project exhibits on display for review. WisDOT representatives will be available to address any questions or concerns.
