Public meeting to preview US 12/Phillips Boulevard project

February 12, 2013

Reconstruction set to begin in March

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to preview the reconstruction of US 12/Phillips Boulevard in Sauk City scheduled to begin in March. The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the River Arts Center, 10 Ninth Street, Sauk City.

US 12/Phillips Boulevard between Lueders Road and Water Street will be reconstructed into a four-lane roadway to accommodate vehicles and pedestrians more safely and efficiently. Construction will occur March-November 2013. US 12/Phillips Boulevard will be open to traffic throughout construction. Traffic controls will be used to maintain two lanes (one lane in each direction) at all times during construction. Alternate routes will be posted.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the project design and staging will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Bill Strobel at (608) 242-8009.
