Second meeting for US 141/County E intersection in Oconto County

Highway work taking place in 2014

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to the US 141 and County E intersection, Oconto County. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Abrams Elementary School, 3000 Elm Street, Abrams, WI 54101. A short presentation is scheduled for 5:35 p.m. and the remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format.

Project representatives will present changes to the design and schedule based on input from the first public meeting held in October 2012, answer questions and address concerns. Local officials, property owners and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.

The project is scheduled to begin in spring 2014. The work consists of reconstructing the horizontal curves on US 141 just north of the Pensaukee River and modifying the intersection between US 141 and County E. Some intersection turning movements may be altered to improve safety.

The town hall is wheelchair accessible. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting the Project Manager Kristin Van Hout at least three working days prior to the meeting.
