Public meeting for Madison Beltline (US 12/18) bridge project
March 1, 2013
Construction work scheduled for summer 2013
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss 2013 construction to rehabilitate two Madison Beltline bridges. The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on March 14 at the Monona Public Library, 1000 Nichols Road.
WisDOT will be repairing bridges over the Yahara River between South Towne Drive and Monona Drive. The project will begin in late April or early May and be completed within 5 months.
All lanes on US 12/18 will remain open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nightly lane closures will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Lanes will be narrowed and shifted to create room for construction. Temporary ramp closures will be required at South Towne Drive and Monona Drive during stages of the project.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact David Layton at (608) 246-3821. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to David Layton, 2102 Wright Street, Madison, WI 53704.
