Governor Walker approves $610,000 project at Dane County Regional Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $610,000 design project to upgrade the instrument landing system at the Dane County Regional Airport in Madison.
David Montesinos, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the system upgrade will improve landing conditions for aircraft during inclement weather.
The design project is expected to be completed by spring.
Funding Breakdown
- State = $488,000
- Dane County = $122,000
Dane County Regional Airport consists of three paved runways, parallel taxiways, aircraft parking ramps, a terminal building, parking facilities and an FAA control tower. There are four commercial airlines serving the airport.
