US 8/WIS 46 Project delayed
March 11, 2013
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Superior has announced that plans to build a modern roundabout at the intersection of US 8/WIS 46 have been pushed back one year.
Last November, WisDOT representatives presented final project concepts and a proposed construction timeline at a Public Information Meeting at Amery City Hall. At that time, WisDOT indicated work would begin on the project this spring and be completed in the fall of 2013. However, due to an issue in programming Highway Safety Improvement Projects statewide, the project is being delayed. Construction is now expected to begin in the spring of 2014 and be completed in the fall of 2014.
