Tonight's WIS 29 and I-39 closures cancelled, rescheduled due to unfavorable weather conditions

Tonight’s closures of WIS 29 (between WIS 107 and Marathon County O), as well as the closure of the northbound lanes of I-39 at the WIS 34 interchange (south of Mosinee) have been rescheduled due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The current closure schedules are as follows:

WIS 29 (between WIS 107 and Marathon County O)

Crews working on the WIS 29 reconstruction project between WIS 107 and Marathon County O are planning three nighttime closures of the highway on March 19, 20 and 21. The closures will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction status.

The closures are necessary for the construction of the new County O interchange over WIS 29.

During the closures, traffic on WIS 29 will be detoured via WIS 107, County N and US 51. To avoid delays, motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow more time for travel.

Motorists can also expect weekday single lane closures on WIS 29. For additional information about the WIS 29 reconstruction, please visit the project web site.

I-39/US 51 (at the interchange with WIS 34, south of Mosinee)

Crews plan to close the I-39 northbound lanes at the WIS 34 interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20. During the closures, I-39 traffic will be detoured via the WIS 34 interchange ramps.

Crews plan to close the I-39 southbound lanes at the WIS 34 interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 21 and Monday, March 25. During the closures, I-39 traffic will be detoured via the WIS 34 interchange ramps.

The schedules are dependent on favorable weather conditions and are subject to change.
