Public meeting for Highway 26 project in Jefferson, Rock County

Meeting to focus on 2013-14 construction activities

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss upcoming Highway 26 construction activities in Jefferson and Rock County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on April 4 at the city of Milton municipal building, 430 E. High Street.

Work scheduled for 2013 includes construction of the Milton bypass between Town Line Road and County N, and highway expansion between County N and the south Fort Atkinson interchange. Representatives of WisDOT and the construction contractors will be available to discuss the project schedule and road closures.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the improvements will be on display.
