WIS 67 access control project, Dodge County, to be discussed April 23

April 4, 2013

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting on Tuesday, April 23 to gather comments about access control measures for WIS 67 in Dodge County.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Town of Ashippun Hall, W1266 County Road O, Oconomowoc.

The access control project is on WIS 67, beginning on the south Dodge County line at Evergreen Road and extending north to the WSI 60 intersection. The village of Neosho is exempted. No design, construction or other highway improvements are planned as part of the project.

The purpose of the access control measures is to provide reasonable access to the adjacent properties while preserving the safe flow of traffic on the highways. WisDOT’s goal is to accommodate the current use of the land by preserving the existing access. WisDOT also will accommodate the future development of the land by working closely with local governments and the communities adjacent to WIS 67.

The meeting will be held in an open-house format. Aerial photographs showing the proposed access control and other exhibits will be on display. Representatives from WisDOT and Strand Associates, Inc.® will be present to explain the project and answer questions on an individual basis.

The public is encouraged to attend. More information is available from David Kreitzmann, DOT Southwest Region, 2101 Wright Street, Madison, WI 53704; david.kreitzmann@dot.wi.gov; or (608) 516-6497.
