Governor Walker approves improvements for I-43

Rest area in Manitowoc County to be improved

Governor Scott Walker has approved a $600,000 contract to improve the rest areas along north and southbound I-43 in Manitowoc County.

Cornerstone USA, LLC, Racine is the prime contractor.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing construction is starting for the rest areas at mile marker 168 in Manitowoc County. The buildings are being updated and the parking lot is being repaired. During construction, the buildings may be closed for short periods of time and the parking lots will have a limited number of parking spaces available. The work should be completed by the end of June.
