Governor Walker approves nearly $158,000 for project at Boscobel Municipal Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $157,895 project to design and construct a new terminal building at the Boscobel Municipal Airport in Grant County.
Stacey Miller, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the new terminal will include a pilot lounge, conference room, flight planning room and public restrooms. The current terminal was built around 50 years ago and does not meet requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Design work is expected to begin this spring, with construction scheduled for completion in late 2014.
Funding Breakdown
- State = $3,947
- City of Boscobel = $3,948
- Federal Aviation Administration = $150,000
Boscobel Municipal Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan (SASP). The airport is classified as a medium general aviation airport. It supports most single and multi-engine general aviation aircraft, including aircraft commonly used by businesses.
