State suspends license of Necedah area auto dealer
April 15, 2013
Violations resulted in two-day suspension
The motor vehicle dealer license of a Necedah area dealership was suspended temporarily by the state of Wisconsin for two calendar days. An investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer and Agent Section found that Nelson Auto Inc., 706 State Road 21, Necedah, violated state law. The dealership:
- transferred encumbered property when it transferred the ownership of a vehicle, and
- gave a false statement to the state of Wisconsin on an application for title.
The state Department of Administration’s Division of Hearings and Appeals found that these violations warranted the suspension of Nelson Auto Inc.’s motor vehicle dealer’s license. The suspension was effective April 1 through 3, 2013.
While suspended, the dealership could not engage in any activity that requires a motor vehicle dealer license. Any future violations could result in the loss of the dealership’s motor vehicle dealer license. Nelson Auto Inc. agreed to allow agents or employees of WisDOT to inspect all business records necessary to verify compliance with the Order Suspending License.
