US 12 improvements in the village of Merrillan, Jackson County

A $2.4 million contract to improve US 12 between Merrill Street and Old Highway 12 in the village of Merrillan, Jackson County is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 22. The project has a completion date of October 11, 2013.
The project will include a variety of work, including new pavement, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main and street lighting.
Beginning April 22, US 12 will be closed between WIS 95 and Old Highway 12 for stage 1 construction work. The proposed stage 1 detour route (northbound) is I-94 to WIS 95 to US 12. The proposed stage 1 detour route (southbound) is WIS 95 to I-94 to US 12.
Midway through the summer, stage 2 will begin which will close US 12 between Merrill Street and WIS 95. The proposed stage 2 detour route (northbound) is WIS 95 to US 10 to US 12. The proposed stage 2 detour route (southbound) is US 10 to WIS 95 to US 12.
During stage 1, an alternate route for I-94 will be signed. The I-94 alternate route is WIS 95 to County FF to County F to County A to US 12.
