WIS 77 in Hurley closed due to rising waters of the Montreal River

Crews closed WIS 77 (Silver Street) between US 51, in Hurley, and the Michigan border to all eastbound traffic due to rising waters of the Montreal River.

Eastbound WIS 77 traffic is detoured via US 51 and US 2.

Crews will examine the bridge after the water recedes and reopen the bridge after it is deemed safe for traffic.

Motorists can check Wisconsin 511 online for updates and information on WIS 77 and other highway conditions before traveling.
