Public meeting to preview US 51 construction, Deforest

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to preview construction work on US 51 in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on May 9 at the Deforest Public Library, 203 Library Street.

Construction on U.S. 51 between Reardon and Vinburn Road is scheduled to begin May 13. The meeting will detail the upcoming construction, including schedule of operations, access and traffic staging.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the construction staging will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
