WIS 153 resurfacing begins next week
May 9, 2013
Motorists can expect daytime lane closures and flagging operations east of the Interstate
Crews plan to begin work on WIS 153 – between Eastview Drive and Andrys Lane, near the Central Wisconsin airport – on Monday, May 13.
American Asphalt is the prime contractor for the $1.6 million project. Crews will mill the existing pavement and replace it with new asphalt. Other improvements include improving storm water drainage by grading ditches, installing new culverts, and installing new curb and gutter at the intersection of WIS 153/County X.
The highway will be open to one lane in each direction during construction, but motorists can expect to encounter lane closures and daytime flagging operations. Motorists are reminded to drive with caution as they approach the work zone and should be prepared to stop. To avoid possible delays during peak travel times, motorists should allow more time for travel or use alternate routes.
The work is scheduled for completion in mid-June.
