Traffic stop by Wisconsin State Patrol trooper near Janesville leads to seizure of marijuana and currency

Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Dustin Johanning stopped a driver for speeding on I-39 south of Janesville on Wednesday, February 19, at 1:30 a.m.

When Trooper Johanning made contact with the driver, he detected the odor of marijuana. A subsequent search found 20 pounds of marijuana and $886 in U.S. currency. The marijuana and currency were seized. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver with the repeat offender enhancer, speeding, and open intoxicants.
