Work to start on I-39/90 southbound bridge over Siggelkow Road, Dane County

April 16, 2014

Work located on Interstate 39/90, south of US 12/18 (Beltline) interchange

Construction on the I-39/90 southbound bridge over Siggelkow Road, just south of the US 12/18 (Beltline) interchange near Madison, is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 23.

Nighttime lane closures will occur on I-39/90 northbound and southbound at Siggelkow Road. Two lanes will remain open to traffic in each direction on I-39/90 during daytime hours. Starting in late May, traffic on I-39/90 southbound will be shifted to the northbound side during the southbound bridge reconstruction.

Siggelkow Road will remain open to traffic in both directions until mid-May. Effective Friday, May 16, Siggelkow Road will be closed completely at I-39/90 until November 2014. During this closure, traffic on Siggelkow Road will not be permitted to travel under I-39/90.

Motorists are required to use alternate routes.

The $5.7 million project is anticipated to be completed in November 2014.
