Highway worker injured during survey operations

Incident took place at I-43/WIS 172 interchange

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay regrets to report that a highway worker was injured earlier today while conducting survey operations in the area of I-43 and WIS 172. The survey work was being conducted for WisDOT by Omnni Associates, Appleton and the injured worker is employed by Omnni.

WisDOT has no further information at this time. The incident remains under investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. All inquires are being directed to Mr. Phil Ramlet, Omnni president and CEO at (920) 735-6900.

The department’s thoughts and prayers are with the worker and his family and reminds motorists to use caution and remain alert when driving through work zones.
