WIS 23 resurfacing in Marquette County begin June 9
May 23, 2014
Resurfacing work on WIS 23 between the Adams County line and I-39, in the town of Douglas, is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 9.
D.L. Gasser Construction is the prime contractor for the $1.2 million project. Crews will mill 8.5 miles of the existing pavement surface and replace it with new asphalt. Additional improvements include: replacing beam guard, improving drainage by installing several cross drains, and installing new signing and pavement markings.
Construction is currently scheduled for completion by August 2014. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
WIS 23 will remain open to traffic. Motorists can expect to encounter flagging operations and some delays.
The project will be paid for with state transportation funds.
