Meeting planned for proposed US 151/County V interchange in Fond du Lac County
June 16, 2014
Public involvement meeting will include plans for County T overpass of US 151
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to US 151 and County V and County T in Fond du Lac County. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at UW-Fond du Lac, 400 University Drive, Fond du Lac in the University Commons Room UC 114. A short presentation is planned at 5:15 p.m.
The project is located at the intersections of US 151 and County V and County T on the south and east sides of the city of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County.
The project includes:
- Replacing the existing at-grade US 151 and County V intersection with a partial cloverleaf interchange. A frontage road will also be constructed connecting County V and US 45 (Fond du Lac Avenue).
- Replacing the existing at-grade US 151 and County T intersection with an overpass with no direct access to US 151. Prairie Trail will also be moved to go under the overpass structure with a connection to County T.
The project is scheduled for construction in 2015 and completed in 2016. There will be no road closures or detours as part of this traffic. However, motorists will encounter lane closures during construction on US 151, US 45, County V and County T.
The meeting will follow an informal open house format and the public can attend at their convenience during the times listed.
The public is encouraged to attend this meeting, learn about the proposed design, project schedule and ask questions and provide their input. Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display and WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
