Governor Scott Walker today announced $803,149 in funding for the design and reconstruction of panels on the terminal ramp as well as fence and gate replacement at Oshkosh’s Wittman Regional Airport. The funding supports a narrative report to include an updated Airport Layout Plan (ALP), signage plan, air show ALP and utility plan.
Terry Ripp, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project will repair deteriorating concrete panels and will eliminate debris on the terminal ramp.
- State = $40,157.50
- Winnebago County = $40,157.50
- Federal Aviation Administration = $722,834
The project started in mid-May and is expected to be complete by mid-July.
Wittman Regional Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan, which makes it eligible for state and federal funding. Airport improvement projects are administered through WisDOT’s Bureau of Aeronautics.
