Public meeting scheduled for US 141 Corridor Study

August 4, 2014

Wisconsin Department of Transportation studying highway traffic operations and safety

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss a study of the US 141 corridor from County E to WIS 64 in Oconto and Marinette County. No construction is planned at this time as a part of the study. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lena Public School cafeteria, 403 E. Main Street, Lena. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.

As a convenience to the public, the meeting is being conducted in an open-house format. Persons interested in the project can visit anytime during the posted meeting hours. The project team is seeking input from the public on the needs of the corridor and potential improvement alternatives, including existing intersection operations and safety. Various exhibits and maps will be available for review. Project staff will be available to answer questions and discuss the study during the meeting.

The results of the study will allow the local communities, land owners, and local businesses to make informed land use decisions compatible with the proposed improvement plans.

Persons who are unable to attend the meeting can comment by contacting WisDOT Project Manager Natasha Gwidt, P.E., at 944 Vanderperren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304; (920) 492-4125 or by email at natasha.gwidt@dot.wi.gov. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Gwidt at least three working days prior to the meeting.
