WIS 441 Tri-County Construction Project office now open in Appleton

August 6, 2014

Public meetings, central point-of-contact for duration of project

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing the opening of the WIS 441 Tri-County Construction Project office at W6214 Aerotech Drive, Appleton, WI, near the airport in Outagamie County. WisDOT leased the bottom portion of the office building for workspace for up to 67 WisDOT employees and consultants. The building will also be used for public meetings and as a central point-of-contact for public information regarding construction on WIS 441/10, the new bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts, and the five interchanges undergoing reconstruction.

The project’s scope and five-year construction duration contributed to the WisDOT’s decision to pursue office space. "The field office will help foster teamwork, and we envision it as a one-stop shop for residents to get information about the project," said Tammy Rabe, P.E., WIS 441 Project construction supervisor. "The public is welcome to call or stop by if they have any questions."

The public can mail comments/questions regarding the Tri-County Project to: WisDOT, WIS 441 Tri-County Construction Project office, W6214 Aerotech Drive, Appleton, WI 54914. The public can also stop by in person or call the project office at (920) 832-1777, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project’s email is Log on to the project website for details of the Tri-County Project.
