Traffic/access

  • Traffic switched to the new northbound US 51 lanes
  • Reardon Rd. will have access to US 51 via the temporary connection, then Pederson Crossing Blvd. and Windsor Rd. once the cul-de-sac is started
  • Gray Rd. west will have temporary access to US 51 to provide Windsor Rd. (west) alternative access. This access will be removed when Windsor Rd. opens to traffic

Road closures

  • Windsor Rd. detour beginning in the second half of stage 1 will continue into the beginning of stage 2
    • Windsor Rd. detour – June 10, 2013-Sept. 27, 2013
      • Windsor Rd. (west) traffic traveling east – County CV/Lake Rd. to Vinburn Rd. to Portage Rd. and back to Windsor Rd.
      • Windsor Rd. (east) traffic traveling west – Portage Rd. to Vinburn Rd. to County CV/Lake Rd. and back to Windsor Rd.

Construction activities

  • Southbound US 51 between WIS 19 and Gray Rd.
  • Two new bridges:
    • Southbound US 51 over Bear Tree Prkwy.
    • Southbound US 51 over Windsor Rd.
  • Complete Windsor Rd. including the three roundabouts
  • Southbound US 51 entrance and exit ramps at Windsor Rd.
  • Complete Bear Tree Prkwy. and Pederson Crossing Blvd.
  • Reardon Rd. cul-de-sac at the end of stage 2

Stage 2 is broken up into stage 2A and stage 2B

  • Stage 2A map – Summer-fall 2013
    • During summer and fall 2013, traffic will be counter directional on the newly constructed US 51 northbound lanes
    • Windsor Rd. will be closed from June 10 and Sept. 27, 2013; after the end of the spring school semester
    • School buses will be provided access through the project area beginning at the start of the fall semester, approximately Sept. 3, 2013
    • Windsor Rd. detour – June 10, 2013-Sept. 27, 2013
      • Windsor Rd. (west) traffic traveling east – County CV/Lake Rd. to Vinburn Rd. to Portage Rd. and back to Windsor Rd.
      • Windsor Rd. (east) traffic traveling west – Portage Rd. to Vinburn Rd. to County CV/Lake Rd. and back to Windsor Rd.
  • Stage 2B map – Fall 2013
    • Beginning fall 2013, all newly constructed roadways and ramps will be open to traffic
    • The Gray Rd. west temporary access to the new US 51 will be removed
    • Reardon Rd. access to US 51 will be removed and a cul-de-sac will be constructed
    • Reardon Rd. will now have access to US 51 via Pederson Crossing Blvd. and Windsor Rd.
    • Minimal work will be done over winter, with no affect on traffic
