Study overview

WisDOT is re-evaluating the 2004-2007 study on WIS 38 from County K in Racine County to Oakwood Rd. in Milwaukee County.

This re-evaluation is required since major project activities have not commenced since the original WIS 38 study and due to the amount of time that has passed since the original study environmental document was approved.

This re-evaluation will determine whether the consideration of alternatives, environmental constraints, future impacts and proposed mitigation measures in the original environmental document are still applicable, accurate and valid.

It also determines whether there have been any significant changes in these factors or the associated regulations, and whether design refinements might result in identification of new impacts or require further study of environmental factors.

We will be updating this website as the re-evaluation progresses.

Status/phase

Study with no construction activity at this time.
